Your business card should provide details including at bare minimum your name and contact information and possibly also a logo and your address. Following are some dos and don'ts of creating your own business card.
Information and Other Text
First and foremost, your card needs to provide your name and contacts without being too cluttered by irrelevant information. Things to include are personal name, company name, office address, phone number, as well as website and email addresses. You should give your business hours space providing. A tagline should be the last consideration if there is remaining space.
Logo
The business logo is a crucial component of any company card. It is easily recognizeable and helps with the branding of your whole company's image.
Design
Whether you are choosing a pre-made template or designing your own, you should be careful that it is not distracting from the main text. The colors of the background should be chosen such that the text stands out clearly and is legible. It is best to choose a card design related to your industry. For example, if you work in real estate you could have a house in the background; if you are a violin teacher you could use a simple violin design.
